Well, after many years of always wanting one, and owning various other Yotas and Nissans (syill have the GQ), I bit the bullet and picked up this little bugger yesterday.
picked it up for 4.5K, 91 wt, 110k's, CD/MP3/Amp etc, extended shackles, 2" body lift (in a box), rough 15x8 extra steelies, but no RWC. It's super clean and I think only needs front axle seals to get a RWC. The 30x9.5' MT's on black ROH's I picked up a couple of hours later.
I looked at a few rag tops, but have always liked the tin tops better. It should go good with a couple more inches in the leaves and the 2" body lift.
I need to pick up a rear bench though asap if any of you lads no of one going in Melb.

You will be amazed

Cheers mate...I've only had it since Sat night and already I'm starting to understand what all the fuss is about. Can't wait to take it for a run, but will wait til I get my RWC sorted this week.
I am amazed at how little they scrub too. Once I do the BL, and flatten out some seams they'll be sweet I reckon. I did have to cut off what I'm guessing are supports for the old front bumper though? I doubt I'll worry about puting on the 15x8, 3.5 offset rims unless I go 31's later on?
You will get a quieter ride with the top. Bloody softies, I wear earplugs on the highway now and upgraded the stereo so that I could hear music and not just the engine and exhaust. Great little fourby. Lucky to find 1 that clean.
Its not your daily driver judging by the nissan behind it. What you got planned
Am intending it to be my DD. The GQ is the family bus that my wife drives.
Prob not going to go too silly early on, just a couple of inches in the springs, body lift, some sliders and learn it for a while. May look at things like reduction gears, bigger rubber, winch and tube bar etc as we go.
Boopa, thats a nice rig,we got our zook just b4 xmas and trust me I never thought the car bug would get me...but its great, you will note there are some real great guys on this site and I love reading all the posts... And now I "do" ever slope every local dip and its great for parking....
