Brake caliper seals

Post by ThirstyMQ »

Hi all,

I'm looking to replace the seals inside the front calipers on my MQ/MK. I had some troubles with the wheels being bloody hard to turn by hand. Thought it was the bearings but it's the brakes. I pulled them apart and found a lot of gunge in them so I cleaned them up nice and fitted the old piston seals back in as they looked like they were in good nick. I know, I know I'm going to replace them!

They are still really hard to rotate and I've called around a few places and can only get these seals in a caliper kit. Does anyone know where I might be able to just get the seals or will I have to get the whole kit. Everything else IS fine and in good working order.

Cheers
