Rod Ends

You will find that the rodends will have the same eye diameter as the thread diameter ie 3/4unf-3/4 eye. What are you planning to use the rodend for ? There no good for suspension links on a daily driver/offroad endurance as there to harsh on mounting points (no give/shock absorbtion) ok on a buggy thou. I have shocks with plain self aligning bearings each end (similar to rod end/heim) and there chopped out in 2000 km, it not my daily driver !

We are going to use them for a heavy duty tie rod on a buggy made out of some hex bar thought 7/8 as 80 series tie rod ends are 22mm diameter thread or there abouts.Would also like to use some on the control arms just at one end .
What size are people using , what make, were did you get them from and how much

i'm using the 3/4 by 7/8 inch chromoly ones in my steering, got them from abt. overkill considering i'm not even using hydro steer, but do you really want to go dodgy with your steering?duncan wrote:We are going to use them for a heavy duty tie rod on a buggy made out of some hex bar thought 7/8 as 80 series tie rod ends are 22mm diameter thread or there abouts.Would also like to use some on the control arms just at one end .

i bought some of the cheapies from a bolt shop to set it up with, and they're a dodgy piece of crap compared to the proper chromoly ones. no way i'd use them in suspension links, maybe a track bar
edit- they're just over 100 bucks a piece, so will ad up quick if using them in your steering, and front and rear links. but for that money, you get the weld in threaded slug for the link, and also mis-alignment washers
