same pricables as the rear but ya got to pull off a whole lot more
just have a look at it and see what has to come off wheel id probly go as far as taking right back to the swivel and it will have to come out too to get to the axle you will probly need speacil tools for this as well just reading my GQ id say it would be close to the same? as mine the 1988 july GQ so one of the early ones
Huh? MQ front (C200) is just: drain oil, ~10 bolts out of inspection plate on front of diff, slide axles out and knock centre out (is wedged in between plates). Will be pretty obvious what went bang then, and whether it's worth pulling the ring off the carrier. If the centre, axles and CVs are okay, ask someone else about the pinion...
Sliding the axles out is much harder than the rear, but nothing crazy. I wrote a step by step guide here a while ago which should come up in a search if you care.

From what i got its the same process as the rear except its wedged into the casing?
i never replaced a front before--Does the center go back inbetween wedges?
