What if the biggest 12v compressor?

Post by LuxyBoy »

Hi All,

As stated i am wondering which 12v (not engine belt driven) compressor will put out the most air?
The biggest one i have found is the $450 4cfm one from TJM or OnTrack4x4 same thing.
Please give price if you know it or place where i can get a quote.
Kind Regards,
Brad

Post by LuxyBoy »

$529.00 for a 3cfm; TJM (aka the rip off bastards) are $450 for a 4cfm

Thanks anyway Pete :)

Thats for a 100% duty cycle compressor at 150 PSi sounds like a bargin to me compared to the OX's 30% duty cycle

Bastard

The one at TJM isn't an OX it looks very similiar to the AB-550 VIAIR. They didn't have a spec sheet or anything it was just the sales guy regurgitating the speil 100% duty, 4cfm and so forth.
Does anyone have any concrete info on these? or even know the one i am talking about?
I am juat trying to find the highest volume pump that can handle about 150-200psi and a 100 duty cycle. I already have the tank just need to ram air into it now :)

I have a huge 12V compressor here at home which was used for airing up heavy machinery tyres. (you know the ones, the tyres are higher than a 4wd.) No idea on the specs of it but it is massive and draws 32amps, requires a big solenoid to run. I'll take some pictures of it later and post here.

Do a search for a "Clisby" air compressor. Used on earth moving and tractors. 12 and 24 volt.

I think Big BAlls sells them too.

Thats nice 8CFM but $1800 is a bit much for me; thats more than a new locker (that it will eventually run)

these are basically the same as a max air, work very well.

for a big CFM one then try www.rtpumps.com aus importer is in seven hills nsw they do various piston and diaphragm pumps for high flow requirments (bear in mind 150psi is low) if they are difficult try www.dynapumps.com.au store in bris perth and syd and they do the RT stuff but the RT stuff wont be cheap
If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!
