Sliders in Sydney?

Post by beretta »

HI all,

I've just moved to Sydney and want to get a set of sliders for my LWB GQ, anyone recommend somewhere to get them, I'm in the city, but will go anywhere in Sydney for a good product, I'm after a set that will still act as a bit of a step as the missus has to be able to get in and out of it still.

Thanks heaps for the help!

Cheers,

Paul

Man if someone has got a mig and a grinder, I'll buy all the materials and as many cases of beers as we can drink to get the job done, plus two for the dude helping me do it to do the right thing! Sum1 or anyone else any chance?

Concluded that I want a set that are professionally made, am happy to part with my coin for a quality product, so where else can I get em made?
I want to eventually get into more comps so I figure if I get a good set now, it'll pay off in the long run.

Fair enough, but at least he might answer his phone or call me back, which would be a great start!

Thanks for the warning anyway! :)

Ive never had a weld break yet. I am going to make a set for me so i thought id offer as two hands make light work. Its more in the design than the welds as mine will be notched out.

You have more $$ than me so have fun .

Sorry dude misunderstood your post, didn't take it as an offer  My fault!

So does the offer still stand? I've got the design in my head, just need to put it into practice!

Also I gotta say, credit where credits due, I spoke to Michael at Superior Engineering in QLD today and he was really helpful, good bloke, so if I don't do any good in the next couple of days locally I'll be getting some made up and sent down from Superior Engineering.

;) no worries man, Im a little tired thats all. i wont be for a couple weeks yet. if we go ahead with it.
Show us a rough plan and ill have a look to see weather its acheivable. I wanna run 2x 50mm box and join them with some 40 mm( Ish) pipe with notching it and run a clamp style setup around the chassis maybe. Main reason to notch is to have a play with the concept and so total reliance is not on a weld.

Bring it on

Cheers

Well, maybe if good gear seems like enough to cause a heart attack to you, you need a job that pays more.... :finger:

Mr ATS The reason I said 950 was high, was that I was pretty sure Cheezy's sliders were around the $600-$700 mark and ideally I would like a set of them, but I want bolt on, not weld on. Good products don't have to cost the earth. Some of us don't have unlimited budgets, doesn't mean we can't get involved in the sport. I remember your shop when I was a kid starting off early days, you've come a long way and done very well for yourself and congrats to you sincerely, but remember we all started somewhere mate, no need for the crap about getting a higher paying job, whats the point and whats it got to do with getting sliders in Sydney?
