i bought a dodgy one to do that with and also to see just how far the car could go b4 it went over.... but it was really crap and when it arrived i decided against even bothering.
If i had a decent one i would do it just to get an idea of the angles, not to actually warn me of when it was too late.

Unfortunately unless your stopped you will never know as inertia makes them move more.
mike wrote:I did a bit of research on some electronic ones wher you can set an audible alarm which might be of some use ie when it's screaming you make the decision to keep going if you look like your starting to come down or back off if it's just getting worse they were quite expensive and I haven't pursued. Don't think it'd help in every situation but certainly in some.
There is some very good tech here in calculating what your rollover angle is here: http://www.jeepaholics.com/tech/cog/
thats probably a better idea..... calculating rollover isn't too hard if you are ok with trig.... i'm hopeless!! a tape measure and a calculator will do it. Work out your rollover, set the alarm for 2 degrees prior..... and like you said, once it screams at you. then you decide whether you want to believe it or not. Although, the pucker factor helps too at times.
