A/C fan stuck on

Post by RN »

Yesterday was not really a hot day but I had the A/C on. When shutting down the motor the electical condensor fan continued to run regardless whether tha A/C switch was on/off . Ignition turned off and it kept running. Pulled the power from the fan and left it. In the morning re connected the power to the fan motor and it did not run and has continued to remain off unless A/C activated.

I suspect that the relay was stuck but have no idea where the relay is located. Any hints please.

I think you hit the nail on the head with stuck relay - if it's a GQ, the A/C Fand & Comrpessor relays are located underneath the black plate smack bang next to the battery. Standard replaceable part.
If it's worth doing - it's worth doing to excess ...
