Where is this going to end up? If it is true that it is ripley/ipswich then forget it.
Cheers

OK so how did it go??

Wanna see pics.

Hey I was waiting to see the reply to wassa73's question. I have an OLD SWB Patrol, I have 31" Muddies and a bull Bar but that's about it. Obviously I have a snatch and recov points but no winch, no extreme lift or travel (Leaf springs)

it's only ever used for this so more than happy to push it but If I am going to be a drag then aint much point.

Basically, when something like this comes up, should I could myself in ???
I'll give it a go......

Well I ended up going anyway. I smashed my rear LHS axle. Alby tore (sp) the front diff centre away from the housing in his cruiser and Ben did 2 engine mounts in the 40 to the point where the engine moved back a few inches and can't select 4x4. Matt's (cut 4B ) mate in the suzuki did a CV, a rim and a tyre. No other damage as at 10.30pm when I left.

20 cars plus the club guys such as Rhys, Shane, Chris, etc.

Scrun, thanks for the night, had a good time. Great fun driving the 2nd hard stage. The last hill climb was a good challenge, orsome rock section at the top. Not much damage to report- 1 cracked flair and just a few more dents on the side bars, and 1 leaking tyre, thanks to the guy who gave me a hand fixing it.

As it stands driven into the workshop from last night - so far untouched apart from removing the drain plug and finding a concerning amount of shavings.....

Well I have pulled the centre out yet to get the rest of the axle out but this is the result. I dare say the RHS axle would have a bit of a twist as well so I will replace both at the same time. I'll pull the centre out during the week and give it a check over.

Link i would be pulling the centre out while your at it. And checking the bearing carrier on the hemisphere. When an axle breaks like that they are prone to running over themselves and splitting the hemisphere apart.

Love ya work Alby !
Scrun suffered some damage also ! whilst recovering a rangie ! :bad-words: :bad-words: :bad-words: :bad-words:

Busted Cv's ( suspected both gone) :bad-words:
He changed short side (obvious one) with assistance from co-pilot and a few people watching ! :D !! then when we left to head home he still
had issues with steering! suspect passengers side taken out also!?
Then another noise! suspect rear diff? :x :x apon checking we found broken rear stabiliser bar which was then removed!
Then once moving again we still had intermittent noise coming from rear! only when power applied! susupected cron wheel damage :?: :?: :?: damm diff ! then another stop to take off the rear T-Shaft ?
Then he tried to one front wheel drive  scary stuff ! car shooting off a few times before we did the final hook up & I towed him back to base!
Hit hit the sack by 2.30_3.00 am !
Oh what a feeling ! !What a night
I believe most had a good night !

Hey fellas, always a good run with you crew ;)

ANyway my 60 is in peices so we were in the bumpkin mobile (blue 60) after helping mat on his zook get his tyre reseated we kept going and had a bit of fun on those hill climbs at the end. We broke a front leaf centre bolt on the hill climbs at the first special stage, but didnt relise it till a bit later playing on the hills near the creek when no matter how we were driving the wheel wouldnt stop hitting the guard.. dodgied it up then and there and headed home

Anyways, cheers for a good night all, catch ya next run!

HI All
Glad all who came on the night run had fun with well over 20 cars its was an impressive sight.

At the start of the run i did a bit of a recruitment drive, Logan Club is always looking for new members. As most who read this post would have been on our runs you know what the club is about we like to play (very) hard.

We are also looking for new places to do our night runs so if you have a fav spot and would like to shair it email me at rhys_alves@hotmail.com and we can set something up.

Have a great month and see you at Glyns night run in March
