Retractable seat belts for NT sierra

Post by beaver700 »

Gday,

Does anyone ever hop into their sierra in a hurry and find that they need to wrench the seatbelt from underneath their own weight? I was just wondering if anyone had found a solution to this problem. When I bought my sierra, it had a retractable seatbelt from another car (which I do not know...) however it always got stuck when pulling it (due to the angle it was on ...)

Did anyone have a common type seatbelt from another make/ model car that would easily bolt into a sierra? I would like to possible get one from the wreckers. :)

Cheers.

you can get universal retractable seatbelts from auto shops like supercheap. i have looked into doing this myself but got sidetracked with doing an engine conversion.

Beware as some wreckers will not sell the seatbelts as it is a safety issue. I had one wrecker say no to getting them as it had been in a acco.

cheers

I got a one size fits all from Auto-one. They were about $90 and the brand is Klippax-----I think. I got the model from another post here but I can't find it now.

Found it. It's a Klippan K4546 with a 350mm stalk. You can go a smaller stalk if required. It's a bit of mucking around to fit but alot better than before.

These may not bolt in. I do not have the false panels in my drover for the retractables.

as nic said i think you may not be able to swap them , as you cant take the panel off next to the seat, theres no hole...
