We have 2 old Rangies (79 & 80).
Both are suffering what I term clutch grab.
The worst one (hers) is causing the most grief.
It is getting very difficult to change gears.
Take off in first, change into second, and only get as far as neutral.
It won't go in.
Blip the throttle to match revs, and it goes in (may take several attempts).
Same goes for changing to third & fourth, and also on the downshift.
It doesn't do it all the time - just at crucial times (ie with traffic up your clacker).
When stopped, it sometimes won't come out of gear, and also very difficult to select first.
Again blipping the throttle aids gear selection.
Stopping the engine then allows gear selection.
The clutch take up is about 1/3 of the way out, however the car wants to creep in gear with the clutch fully depressed.
I have rebuilt both the master & slave, but it still does it.
(actually did the master twice).
And have bled the thing numerous times (manually and with a power bleeder)
What could the problem be?

Probably not throwing the clutch fork far enough or the pressure plate is knackered, clutch bleeding must be pressurised i have never succesfully bled a RR clutch without air. i would suspect this most likely, the fork may be bent (unlikely) pressure plate may have lost tension(funny to have 2 the same) thrust bearing may have moved back on sleeve (have seen this on a few) but i,ve mainly had trouble with correct bleeding, only reason not to suspect gearbox(bearings etc.) is you say it creeps with your foot depressed.
Wanted: Car trailer or beaver tail truck, let me know what you got
