60 series PTO's and chassis widths.

Post by dibbz »

Is anyone aware if there is different chassis widths between FJ and HJ 60's, or across different years?

I purchased a Powauto PTO winch that was from a FJ60 and it's a bit too slim to get around my HJ60's chassis rails, by say 1/2-3/4" either side.. arg.

any bullbar from any FJ/HJ60 will fit any FJ/HJ60 so i dont think the chasis rails ever varied between years or model.

the 75series chassis rails are narrower, perhapos the PTO is actually from one of these, or even a 40 series(narrower aswell)

Yes I had the chance to get measurements off 40/75's this morning.

40/75 = 72.5cm outside to outsude, 60 = 79cm.

@#!@% lied to by the seller.

Cheers.

Figured out how your going to fix it yet?

I bought a 60 series PTO and fitted it to my 75.

I've still got the 60 series chassis rail brackets if your interested.

I can probably even get them to Brissie if you don't mind waiting a bit and dont mind shelling out a carton.

Reply or PM or something if your interested.

Cheers
