ok here we go


my brother in law has a nice 1993 toyota landcrusier 80 series
he has just had gas put on to it so it also deual feul poor bugga has nothing but trouble with it since the gas has gone in to
his frist problems is back fiering and farting and cariing on, i surspect its feul injected?
please elaberat and explain what could be causeing this how to fix this :)

second problem is he is having trouble with the gas now at the point where its just cut out completly and he only running off the feul now ,

fell sorry for the guy hes ready to put a stick of tnt to it :)
any help in next 2 days would be great :)

maybee take it back to the place that fitted the gas and get em to sort it out, or wasnt it fitted by a pro, do you know what engine it got is it the 4.5l

Ok, I'll take a stab in the dark and say: Plug leads are causing all the miss firing and backfiring, gas is very suseptible(sp) to bad spark. Also if it's cutting out when he decelerates and cruises to a stop, does he have a snorkel and which way is it pointing? if its towards the front then turn it around and see if that makes a difference. Too much air and not enough gas it will not burn.

just spoke to him hes got the 4.5L petrol

now dosent have a snorkel at all , he said as soon as the clutch gose in it cuts out

as for the spark leads for his toyota are they< iv never looked under his bonnet so i dont know what arangment he has > just for replacing purpuse

the gas was fitted by a licenced joint in gippsland somwhere between dandy and tralgon


thats why im an apprentice boiler maker and not some office dude :)
if it spelled close i dont care :)

definitely just take it back to the blokes and just say this is shit and fix it!

he already been there twice for 2 seperate problems a 3 time is just bull shit , under stand what im saying

i really rather he keep away and go to a place quiet well known or if i can help him fix it for good
