Distance between enine mounts on sierra...

Post by beaver700 »

Gday,

Just a quick question. Does anyone roughly have any idea of the distance between the engine mounting bolts on the sierra. i.e the distance across the engine... The reason I want it is because I was going to build a quick engine holder for the gti engine sitting on the bare ground in my shed, and I needed to know these as I was planning to bolt it onto the frame of the holder I was oging to make...

Any help appreciated

CHeers :)

about 220mm. It is hard to measure though, so might be a bit out.

You have to remove the sump anyway, so just take the sump off and use jackstands to support the flat surface the sump bolts to.
