3.0TD?

Post by high n mighty »

I recently aquired a turbo which I beleive is off a 3.0TD only for the fact that it has ZD30 written in paint texta on the heat sheild. Wondering what code is embossed into the casings? And also been told that this is a garrett, possibly T03, can anyone enlighten me?

Anyone??

I have the numbers on the casing, just wondering what others are, if it is infact a garret and if it is suitable for my 2.8 lux(size doesn't look any bigger than my current set-up).

I searched my arse off with google and found no info apart from what engine it is fitted too.

Surely someone knows some decent info.....

the Turbo your talking about, wih ZD30 in texta would tell you it came from the 3.0L TD patrol, it is a slo a variable vanve turbo, so you would have to do something with the vanes, as they alter pitch so they spool up quicker in the lower RPM and less in the hiher RPM, this is the way i believe it works, and is all i know about them,

i do believe they are Garrett Turbos,
