Yeh and get all misty and opaque from the sun and other miscellaneous substances like rotten mud etc, does this happen or does it remain 100% after rinsing it?

id be interested if the price is right. i recall getting some priced, i tihnk from BBM, & it was around $400. I think these were the perspex ones though.A new glass one was only $175, so i went with that. I wouldnt want to pay anymore than a new ones worth (being illegal on road).

I would pay up to $200 for a LEXEN windscreen, but any more than that and I don't see its worth.
