does anyone know a good way to remove these 90s stickers down each side of sierra cheers

Ive tried removing them to no avail, so now i just disguise them with mud

Sore finger nails and hard work with the hair dryer, maybe try a credit-card type scraper, like a bog applicator.

a f ew things the detailers at work told me to try...

wax and grease remover and scraping, hardcore polishing with a good cut agent, and if all else fails paint stripper

I just pick at it with my fingers knowing one day it will all come off

Heat gun (but not too close for too long or paint comes off too

), scraper and prepsol.

You will find after you pull them off that the paint under the stickered area is like new and the rest of your paint has faded so you will still see where they were.
Sometimes cut and polish will fix that depending on how bad the paint is.

I found if you roll the car over a few times then sand and paint they dissapear

i got a professional detailer to get mine off, the vinyl had fully cured/hardened on to the paint... took the poor guy 3 hours, a bottle of lime solution and about 50 scraper blades.. hair dryer only works on still soft vinyl =)

I used a gurney that heats the water to 120*C. Took about 15 mins. Cleaned the last bits of residue off with thinners.

Bodyworks have a buffing pad that fits in a drill made expressly for this. Mine were removed quickly with no damage to the underlying paint.

umm i used a pen lid, just a softish plastic one, prodded at the corners of the stickers with the hollow end of the lid till they lifted, then peeled by hand, came off markless and just had to clean up with some metho to remove sticky tar stuff. Took me like 25mins to strip all the stickering

industrial strength karchar 180 degrees water temp, very high pressure, took most of it off, cbf with the rest..

I also noticed that when i took the stickers off that the bits covered by them were quite shiny where the rest of the paintwork looked a little more dull (sun, scratches etc) So depending on how much you love your paintwork a cut and polish wouldnt be a bad idea

On my commadore I used the rubber wheel that panel shops use. Must take alot of practice to do it without marking the paint. Cut n polish wouldn't take the runnery marks off the paint though it still looked a hell of alot better than with the stripes on.

I used a heat gun and used a special technique called f**ken common sense in that dont heat the area for too long and the sticker vinyl peels off easy but if you bite your finger nails forget it, cause it aint gonna peel off.
To start the peel process use something plastic NOT a Metal blade. I peeled the vinyls of a 7000 year old Mazda Camper van with the heat gun process and they were stuck on good................... ronoor their is one more technique you could try that is a can of petrol a match "WOOFF" :BIG:

well its done ! no good with water went back to hair dryer bit by bit 6hrs to remove all stickers citro clean goo plus cut & polish wood not wish this job on my worst enemy cheers
