Has anyone done the Border Track along the, surprise, surprise, Vic/SA border. I know 4WD monthly had something about in the last issue. What I'm looking for is some first hand knowledge and if possible any GPS coords/waypoints etc.

yep. We did it last Easter from Lindsay Island down to the Western Hwy (I think) was a great trip. The Border track itself wasn't too hard except for two large dunes that had very soft sand. We managed to get across all ok but had to lower the tyre pressures down to about 10 on my GQ and a 80 Series. Didn't see any other people on the whole length of the track. Had the campsite to ourselves, can't remember the name of the campsite tho.

What was better was the couple of days we spent at Lindsay Island. Great spot on the Murray between Mildura and the SA border. Didn't see many people at all. Had a good camp site on the banks of the Murray. There were better sites which we found later after setting up, but we couldn't be stuffed moving.

Love the area up around there, Sunset NP, hattah Kulkyne, along the Murray, Wyperfield etc. Every Easter for the last 10 years I reckon we've been up that way pretty much each Easter
