Q's IFS rears up front on a solis axle Lux

Post by LuxyBoy »

I have read the bible and couldn't find the answer.

I was looking at putting the IFS rears up front to move the diff forward so i can fit bigger rubber.
Can this be done without dropped shackles?
Do i have to remove leaves?
Is the j arm (or might be pitman i get confused) the only other mod needed?
Has anyone done this?
Kind Regards,
Brad

Hmm he is a little confused :?

He actually wants to put standard rears up front and wants to know if he has to have dropped hangers and/or extended shackles to do this?

He knows he has to shorten the draglink, and already has an adjustable torque rod.

You dont have to remove leaves. dropped hangers is usually done when doing cross over, putting rears up front is a piece of piss with cross over already done on the vehicle, if you still have standard steering then the extra flex is going to mess with your steering. Yes you will need longer shackles. Many people have done it.

Go over to pirate, go to the toyota 4 runner section, click on the faq (its a sticky at the top) and read this for the next couple of weeks, lots of great info on all the common mods for your lux.
