60Series Glow Plugs

Post by luxbloke »

Looking at buying a HJ60

The truck is in Excellent condition but the Glow Plugs are a bit lazy in the morning. You need to glow it two or three time but then it cranks over no dramas.

Whats it cost roughly to get a new set put in?

It's not the truck thats always getting stuck... its the driver... :finger:

careful here

could also be low compression causing it to not start properly when cold etc.

can cause the same symptoms as dead glow plugs but one costs a few grand to fix, the other about $100

also don't go buy the glow light on older rigs wait till you hear a loud click from under the bonnet then start

but get a compression test done first as shadow's said it may7 be low comp
