what is max tow for the 80 ???
is it 3500kg`s ?

sorry i mean how much can it tow , the 100 is 3500 , GU wagon 4.2 is 3500 as well.......

3500 braked. some earlier ones were 2500 though

how well it will tow that kind of weight is another question.

they are mostly over rated to compete with american trucks

depends on the rear tow bar on it.

some had 2500 (like mine)

some bars have the 3500kg rating.

contact somewhere like hayman reese for more info.

The H/R bars have both ratings on them, it depends on the year of the vehicle which rating is relevent, something to do with the bigger brakes on the later ones?

I have a Kaymar rear bar on my 80 and Im not sure which tow kit is incorporated in it, but have towed a Hilux fully loaded on a tandem for a few hundred kms. Dont know the exact weight but mine was fully loaded with camping gear and fuel and so was his. Absolutely DRANK the juice and didnt like stopping. Wouldnt recomend it unless absolutely necessary. Was a windy day too which just exasperated the lack of driveability.
