3RZ-FE Intake air temp sensor

Post by NQLux »

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me where the intake air temp sensor would be hiding on my 11/98 dual cab 3RZ-FE hilux? I have a #24 fault code which I believe relates to the sensor and my ellery manual reckons it is in the bottom of the air cleaner box but there is nothing in there but bugs. Can anyone help out.

Problem I am having is excessive fuel use and very rich smelling exhaust - I have changed the air and fuel filters, spark plugs and have gently cleaned the air flow sensor and still have the problem. The other fault code showing is #41 (throttle position sensor) and according to my ellery manual it has 4 connectors but mine only has 3 which makes testing resistance impossible (cause I dont know which ones are which).

Any assistance appreciated!

I think the air inlet temp sensor is that little box attached to the side of the engine bay where the top of the guard bolts on. I'd have to check some of my paperwork to confirm but I believe that's what it is.
