Cool, but the guys that will help you will require details.
Like What size tyres?
Is it for pose value/Malling or for offroad use too?
Is it a daily driver?

I was down at suziworld in Heidleberg, and saw a body lift kit sitting on the counter, but don't know the price or vehicle, sorry.
We have a few lifted Vitaras in out club, some are self made.

i live in darwin. (not helpful for where to buy from)
BL kit cost me about $300 (installed myself)
3" BL solid plastic (HDPE) blocks (8)
steel crush tube/sleeve (6)
may not be legal

my old home made BL.
75mm RHS box section
not good
illegal

lots of other work also:
shifters need to be bent/extended
chassis to body brakelines extended
fuel lines loosened
fuel filler extended
steering shaft extended
front and rear bumpers raised
handbrake lines re-routed

2" BL less work
1" no work (not worth it)

how big are your muddies? and what do you want to drive?
31"s can work, 33"s need heaps of (other) work.

well the muddies are 31" and rub as i steer hard right as ud expect the car being quite low, need a couple of inches clearance

Just needs a basic body lift, wheels look massive at the moment on it lol

what rims/wheels are you using? i hope not the standard suzuki ones, whether it be sierra or vitara off sets. they do not have enough neg off set to clear the frame rails, esp with 31".

if you have sunnies, like a 15"x7" or 15" x 8", you should clear the frame.

the firewall will be one area of concern. before i put any lift on my vit, i fitted some old 31"s, and i had to trim the front guards and i just bashed the firewall in until it all cleared.

there are several ways of trimming the front guards. i just took mine off, drew a line down the back of the arch to mark what i needed to get rid of, then i marked another line 10mm or so smaller. this is where i actually cut, and then i folded a lip back to the original line. this was so i had a blunt edge that wouldnt slice my tyres in a worse case scenario, and 2nd, somewhere to mount the rubber flares too.

a few people have just cut a section out of the firewall, and re welded it back in further. this is probably the best way to do it. i bashed my firewall in, and now there are cracks, and rust and so on. its not good. also, make sure you dont limit your accelerator pedal anymore than it is. it will make you think ur car is running like poo, but you only have 3/4 throttle open when flat.

this is roughly where i cut. i made sure i did enough to fit a 33" tyre, because you might not think it now, but you will get to a stage where you will think 33" tyres is a good idea for your vit!

this is with my old 31"s when they were brand new.

here are a couple of pics of the firewall where i beat it in. you can just see it.

sometimes even a 3" BL isnt enough to fit 31"s. especially if you intend on doing any off road wheeling at all.

if you dont want to cut and basha nd trim and stuff, you will need about 3" suspension lift with a 3" BL. this might clear 31" muddies ok.

and is there such thing as a basic BL?

lol i guess not, thanx guys.. might begin with some bashing to just clear the tyres.. that rubbing sounds disgusting wen i steer hard.. sounds like alot of damage is being made, must go.

im currently driving an 89 softy with 32's on it and NO LIFT AT ALL! =)

It still scrubs a little on full right lock, but nothing tooooo severe. theres no flex at all cos the tyres bottom out on the guards... but it all works just fine on road. all thats been done is guards cut and welded... that is it. and its great!

a quick fix for now is to adjust your steering lock a little. Reduce it so on full lock the tyres don't scrub, that way you can still drive it onroad with no dramas.
