hey fellas it been a while since i was last on here( work had taken over ) any way,
hopefully getting a new 130 in a few months and have decided to make my 110 a dedicated work/ play truck ( as im a carpenter i tow a trailer so the truck will be towing it to and from work and thats it ) rest of the time it will be a play thing.
now i have been thinking of turning it into an xtra cab ute ( bob tailed) or perhaps just bob tailing my wagon.
i prefer the ute option as i wont be restricted with tyres and travel on the rear as i can make the tray to suit it + there is now much less panales to damage, at the moment the wagon inside has been striped from th front two seat back.
any suggestion on what i should do? wasnt real keen on changing the wheel base but open to anything relativly easy.

MOVE OVER, HERE COMES ROVER!!!
Re: what to do with my 110??
I spoke to Creative Conversions about doing a 4 door ute. They had never done one despite being asked quite frequently about it. They told me that if I was willing to sticker it and take it to some shows for them, they would do it at pretty much cost.110 TUFF wrote:hey fellas it been a while since i was last on here( work had taken over ) any way,

Otherwise...have a close look at the big, blue fender that Davis Performance Landys have in their advert. Its a 2 door ute on MD portals with 37s and NO lift
Big $$$ though. But the ute section look sweet. I think there is a story in one of the latest OverLander mag.

Dual cab ute would be an easy almost bolt on conversion. you need a 130 dual cab roof and roofliner, the rear window section from a ute (you could even use a series one with the square back window) a tailgate, hinges and mounts - series ones would fit. The hardest bit would be making a pannel to fit behind the bottom of the rear seats.
Try to find a wrecker wrecking a 130 dualcab - not very common, but they do turn up, for the roof and try to talk him into doing a trade for your 110 one.
or
get a single cab ute roof off a 110, cut the back round cab section off and weld/rivit it too your cut down 110 waggon roof.

As andrew said, a dual cab ute would be almost a bolt on conversion. 110 dual cab utes are available from the factory in the UK. If you want it bobtailed you wouldnt end up with much space in the tray though.
I have seen a home-made 110 extra cab in brisbane and it looked quite good.
