Turps, Bob is a very good driver and takes that Paj places where it has no right to go.
At the end of stage 4 we watched you guys go up that steep rocky (slippery) track and Kris couldn't believe the Paj got to the top (without any problem at all).
Shows what a good driver can do in a standard truck.

Well all I can say is we might need some more Jerry cans to get there.
We actually got to the top of that hill. Pulled up beside Sparky and Juzza, thats when we realised they should be an hour or so in front of us. Looked att the GPS and noticed we had been heading sth not east. WE cursed did a u turn and head back down the hill as fast as we could go.
We didnt see that other track off to the left cos we where racing to get in front of BRT. Well we stuffed up there.

Yer I think it might have been on the limit of difficulty. As I cant see many other Paj owners(yours doesent count), or even std 4b's being pushed that hard. Would have been good to have alook underneath to see if we did do any damage. I dont think we did other than the CV. Although I guess the CV was clicking at the start. It was making really nasty noises at the end.

But it does show that STD vehicle can do the course. Now if only we can learn to read a map. We maybe in with a chance.

Yeh we finished, when you last saw us we pulled over just to tidy up the paper work, but you know how the challenge goes you dont know how good-bad you went until you see the final tally, so congrats on getting to the end in one piece:D :D :D .
The only damage to truck was from a tree stump I hit with leading edge of myside step, punched the bottom of the front gaurd in again miner side effect, can only open passenger door about 1/2 way. :bad-words: Hmmm must invest in a set of cheeze's sliders, more solid than ARB sidestep/rails

Yep we did exact same thing although we saw the right track but just kept on going. The question gave us an idea somthing was fishy so had a quick sqizz at the gps and notes and desided a qturn around was in order, the paj and crew you did a good job getting the vehicle just about everywhere also made a wise choice about the deep creek tracks I thought the last one in particular was very slippery going up..
see ya at the presentation night

Congrats to Wayne and Rohan on their win. There was only 13 points between the top 3 places and after the final section results it still wasn't clear who the winners were going to be.

Regular names fill the top spots as previously mentioned by T.Trudi.

As previously predicted Coops and Hummer won the Most Spirited Award for assisting with parts and transport for broken down vehicles/competitors

Lilydale SES won the Best Checkpoint Award for their "Orange" themed checkpoint at halfway. Thought the window washers would have got it due to the reactions from most competitors

I was surprised to pick up 9th spot  Expected to be way down the list and this just makes me wonder where we would have finished if I hadn't of stuffed that one plot on section 3

But I guess there will always be whatif's unless you manage to put together a consistant event and win it :D

Ah well we'll be back next year for another shot

 for Hottie and DavidH for coming equal 11th for their first attempt.

Here's the full list of results. Apologies for the poor quality but I'm now at work after attending the presentation and can't farked getting it any better

Cheers ;)

Thanks Joe. Well done to you to. Not much between us and Juzza's not far away either

Looking at the points spread we had very similar section results. Maybe that's why we saw you a few times, we were getting lost together :D

We all just need a little more consistancy to give them top 3 spots a nudge

Roll on next year ;)

we didnt suck as bad as I thought we would. But 20th is way down on last year. Oh well bring on 2007.
Did better on some stages than I thought we would. Mainly stage 3. I didnt plot much of this as I was feeling crook, but we got through it very well. We knew stage 2 and 3 where bad. As we cut and run sections. Cos things where getting abit rough for the paj. Theres only some many toboggan runs one can do before its no longer fun (oh and I stuffed the extinguiher test and none of us knew how to do the join the straps).

Well I'm happy with 29th :) It was the first time I have done anything like that (I was the navigator) and I had a ball, can't wait till next year. Knowing what sort of things to expect now after doing one I hope we could finish in the top 15, (but would be happy with 29th agine)

Yea, yea, i know. Doesnt get much closer. You must be disapointed with your second half, you guys were doing so well. Good effort still though, when you consider the 5 cars ahead of you guys.
