fuel tank warning light.

Post by bruiser »

My fuel tank warning light is on in the 80 series. (GXL petrol 94)
not the low level indicator but the actual fuel tank light on the dash.
What could this be.
It was on the other week but went off. It is now back on again.

worth a check, but out of interest do you know how it can tell if there is water in the filter.
Also the filter on the petrol is mounted horizontal and there is no water trap or bleed outlet to get out water. You would have to take it off and empty it out

First thing i would do is look in a manual or ring toyota and find out what the light means.
