you need a 8" wide rim to legally run 33s

Depends on what width 33s. If there 12.5s they should be fitted to a minimun 15x8. However they can be fitted to 15x7s and run on the road (and off the road) with minimum fuss. I did over 30k on a set of 33x12.5 bfg muds on 15x7 without any uneven wear, and when i went out 4bying i let them down to 10psi i never blew one off the rim. i have seen many 15x8s blown off the rim with a 12.5 at low psi.

Mabe if you arre worried about legal issues, only run them off road and have another set for day to day driving? that way you wont throw all your weights off your day to day tyres like i do :bad-words:

i dont know if they will fit in the front wheelarches without scrubbing on the standard patrollover 15x7s, mine were on a defender. Borrow someones tyre and try it.
