After reading the posts about clutch replacement, I've decided I'm either brave or stupid (time will tell which one) 'cos I'm going to attempt it myself.
I can't find any info on whether or not people have replaced the rear main oil seal at the same time. Is this something that should/needs to be replaced on a GQ TD42? It's an '89 with 315,000kms.
Thought's anyone? (on the oil seal - not whether I'm stupid...).
yes i highly reccomend it when i do clutches i allways replace the rear main seal especially on 4wd;s because the box's are heavy and can be akward to remove might aswell do it while it is out and also change the spigot bush while your there and make sure you oil the bush before you put it in if you have any queries msg me and i can talk you through it.
