Another whats my car worth thread!!!!

Post by kc_ksom »

Hey fellas

I have a MQ 350 chev on straight LPG, Flat tops, Fuellie heads (ported) single plane manifold, Re curved HEI dizzy, extractors, 4 bolt block, steel crank, stage 3 cam ( engine has just been RECO), standard 4 speed, newish clutch, 2in springs, 2in body lift, 35in Mickey T radials (%98), Mags (csa), clean intierior, just standard seat covers nothing flash) polished alloy bull bar.

Rust is free, free to own that is.

Body is fairly straight though there is a right rear quarter damage, useuall spot, has rust in sills, doors, rear gaurds, etc, radiator support has been repaired, etc etc, it has been painted at one stage ot another.

Have fibreglass flares though as I have to extend them they are not done yet.

My partner and I are having another baby and need the 3 seat belts in the rear seat, so pretty much just upgrading to a GQ or Maverick or similar....

What you think its worth......

Casey

Here is a pic... though t doesnt have the bull bar on...

aye... Screwy bought his MQ with a 350 chev for a bit lower than that i think...

regardless of what you've done.. its still a "OLD" car and you cannot justify a high value increase on what you've done to it

About a year ago I tried to sell my mq on here.Similar to yours strong 350 turbo400 33muds 3 inch lift bull/himount gas reserch roll bar custom rear bar and engineered.Tried to get about 4k for it and no luck.

What i did do was wreck it (buyer removes parts)and was the best thing i did.It was all gone in about 4 weeks and got close to 6500k for it all.(and i sold most thing's quite cheap)

If you can wreck it :)

Yeah its a nice looking rig alright. I used to see it tiime from time back in the days when i used to live in that :bad-words: hole.

It might be worth finding a tired old 350 and replacing it with yours to get a price closer to what its worth. Try putting it in the car yard at Gumly Gumly for a while and see what happens. Ive seen some shitter swb go for about $4000 there and it was a petrol. Cars are dear down there.

Some young fella from cargills will buy it. Maybe park it in Bowmen for a few days outside the shop there

Can i take it for a test run

Good luck.

G'day Pongo

Yea, I ve got it out on the HWY for sale, its just been cleaned an sitting there at my father inlaws, Hopefully it will sell.
Been there for 2 days but no bites, a lot of people look at it though. COME ON RAFFIES.... Wished it diddnt have so much rust around the rear guard.
I could spend more money in fixing it up, but really I dont want to spend another cent.
If need be I will wreck it out, It may be the only way to get some money for it, would be a shame to see a 350 patrol go to waste though, It would make one hell of a truck done right.

Whats happening in WALBUNDRIE????

Casey

Ohh the car yard has closed down.... P.s. take you for a spin in it any day....Rammmmm it hard into a tree, its insured, lolllllllllll J/K

I cant beleive the car yard has closed down already. was heaps of cars in there and turned over regualary from what i could see.

If ya wanna get rid of some rust ? Go and see a mate of my old mans, Craig . He is behind thet hobby shop in cheshire St ( if its still there) . Hes a panel beater and loves cash work. Tell him Andy Browne's Son sent you there. Cheapest price ya eva gunna get ( well hopefully) .

ANywayz. Goodluck, And if i crash it for ya can i swap my 31's for ya 35's first ;) .

Cheers
