Post by bruiser »

Need an awning for the 80 series.
Just wanting to know who has one what there like and who has made one and how it turned out.

Also what people think is the best mounting position. Off the back or off the side? For's and agianst.

Rellies have one off the side of their 100 series cruiser, mounted to the thule carry rack system.

Probably better off the side, more truck to help with shading? Guess it depends which spot you're most likely to be in and out of the vehicle at.

I bought a $10 or so tarp from Rays and I occy it to my roof rack. Two poles to the ground and one to keep them apart, the eye to eye sort. I wrap the poles and ropes in the tarp and then tie it all up with the occys.
