Urgent help required

Post by Bairdy »

G'day all, got the call from a mate to go for a run this weekend. I'm currently running a 92 Terrano (TD) with winch bar + winch and factory std suspension - Yeah you can all stop laughing now.
Upgraded today from 30 x 9.5's to 31 x 10.5's and want to raise the lift slightly for a fraction more clearance. I've heard this can be achieved through the torsion bar?
Suspension being the only area of a vehicle I have never tackled, what is the best way to do this job?
Any assistance/advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I had the 93 d21 pathfinder and did the same thing. I fist went to pedders and got some rear prings with 2 inch lift for the back. Then just wound the front up till it looked right. After awhile the front saged, so i removed t/bars and moved them around one notch then wound up again.

Thanks Numb", the rear should be sitting ok...I'm expecting minor rubs on full articulation. The front I am a bit concerned on, is there any where that shows exactly how to wind up the bars ie attachment points, things to watch out for etc....
As I said, engine and running gear no worries....suspension...no idea

follow the t/bars back to under front seats and there should be a bolt at the end of them facing the ground, thats the one you do up.
