My front windscreen fell out, my back one got smashed, my roof caved in a little, all my doors caved in, both my front guards shattered(fiberglass), my tray got all bent out of shape, bent the bullbar, got a hole in the radiator but none of this bothered me even a little.
What did bother me was the fact when the guard shattered it smashed the coil wires off and i couldnt re-start to continue

had an mq swb with a 250 ford crossflow in it . halfway up a hillclimbin kenilworth national park broke front engine mts &rear g/box mts =motor ,g/box ,t/case all lying on the ground with my truck trying to jump over it .tore off both fr brake lines bothshafts separated and tore of the exhaust. took 9hrs to get it all back together enough to drive home

The 80 got bogged and then swallowed the water while sitting there. My GU drives through puddles like that without thinking twice.

I used to love water crossings, a few years back we decided to trek down to Burwood beach (Glenrock Lagoon) for a surf. Never did like leaving the cars and walking down the trail. We managed to get down onto the beach and have a wave off the point. On the way out i decided to try out the new 33's just to see how long the zook would float for. Ended up completely drowned in the lagoon. I had a 4 grand system in at the time and everything went underwater, the depth was almost over the dash once 0the car filled up. The rangers came down in brand new pajero's and sat and ate lunch. They had winches and didnt offer any assistance. After 2 hours battling with the water flow and the approaching high tide, my mate was alerted and rendered ass0istance with his GQ. The car eventually turned over and we were able to drive home. The scariest part was the tide had come up so high that there was white wash slamming into the side of the zook. Ended up with a 380 dollar fine for my trouybles and a water logged car.

On a trip to Innamincka in my Zook I noticed a that one of the radiator mounts had broken so we stopped in Tiboburra to get it fixed. Here's a little advice I got about that one, don't get someone called Wayne to fix your radiator in Tiboburra. After putting half a dozen holes in the radiator he decided that he wasn't able to weld the mount up and try something putty instead.
So over the next two weeks it was basically drive a bit, fill the radiator up a bit etc etc. No worries. Then we hit Arkaroola and my transfer case hit the road. Funny feeling watching your tcase lever getting smaller and smaller then pop no lever just a horrible grinding sound. Out come the straps and strap it in til we camp. Find new bolts rebolt everything up. Couple of days later same thing happens. Fix it again. A few days later driving into Horsham same thing. This time the mounts were stuffed and two bolts had sheared off in the case.
Luckily I had RACV Total Care as it paid for myself and my 6 passengers in my Zuk ute to stay overnight. Next day it was fixed and I got home a day late.
Another time I had my steering let go climbing a steep rutted climb in the high country which got the old heart pumping

Ransom note = demand + collage
Riped a 4" hole in fuel tank, smashed the fan off the water pump, chewed the berings in the pump, front drive shaft, bent cross member, bent stering arms. Don't try to drive from pines to second reef.
About 2 months later another broken stering arm try to keep up with some one in this year atteco
6 months later blew a rear diff, whilst 500 yards from the front gate of the vic whinch challenge, fixed in 2 days, 4 hours after spending $2700.00 on new rear maxi my ex mate rolled it on the road and wrote the entire car off

Went on holiday to Frazer island Heading up the Newel hwy
from Vic, 10 km from Goondawindy the front wheel bearing
colapses , limped into town got it fixed went to the island
had a ball On the way back 10 km from Goondawindy the clutch
chuck's it's guts .The moral of this story "Dont go within 10 km
of Goondawindy"

Ok i have a couple.
1st: Spun No3 big end bearing and stuffed the crank and rod in my turbo diesel 80.
rebuilt the motor,Had the crank repaired.Cost $8500
2nd: 25,000km on the rebuilt engine and was sitting at an intersection at idle and bang the motor started knocking.Stripped it down and found that i now had a 2 piece crank, where the crank was repaired snapped which sent the the rod and piston into the head.(ouch)Cost for reco engine $10500
3rd: this time not my 80.Built a zook for comps,was down at the willowglen challenge got into the 2nd event of the weekend and blew a cv on a hill climb but was still moving forward so i kept going and then bang,went backwards real quick.stopped at the bottom and thought thats ok i must have broken a rear tailshaft,i've got spare cv's and tailshafts.track marshals yells out does anyone wanna see the inside of a diff.Bugger no spare diff centres.
That was the end of the weekend competing 4 me and my navi,so we went into town and bought some beer and drank 4 the rest of the weekend.

In the space of a few days .. all under light throttle in a rear lockerd Zuk blew a diff centre, 3 universal joints and then shredded my 5 month old rockhopper going round a roundabout to get my busted exhaust fixed ...
