differential breather

Has anyone found a fitting that will screw into the old diff breather thread

was reading this http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/minutemods/breather/
and they seem to have found one but iam not sure if the USA nissan part numbers are the same here

i just went to a local hose fitting place and got one from there..unscrewed my old one from the diff and they matched it the thread to wateva top i wanted.and much cheaper than ebay..i think i paid $7 all up for everything (fittings hose breathers) both diffs

pretty sure its a 1/8 BSP thread....

Picked mine up from pirtek for like $3 each

It is strange that Japan decided to use BSP (British standard pipe) thread.
But yeah 1/8" is right.
On my lux I just got a 1/8 thread to 1/4 barb and some 1/4 fuel line.
Bigger is better if you are running the breathers a long way maybe 5/16 or 3/8 would be better.
On my zook I am using 12mm(1/2") hose only because the fitting on the diff allows a 12mm hose to be slipped straight on.

It's not astually the right thread but it's so close to metric at this size it doesn't matter.

go some where like Pertec for the fitting take your old one with you I just use this fitting pluss some fuel hose and ran it up into my engine bay were I put a z15 fuel filter on the end to stop dust going back in the line cost me about $25 to do both diffs I never had any water in my diffs since.

I also just did my brreathers as well, now there is condensation in the line as it exits the diff. Indication of water in the diff, or at least moisture?? Course of action?

The Toyota breather thread is M10 x 1 tapered not common here in OZ same thread as oil pressure sender on the Toyota motors. 1/8 BSPT ( British Standard Pipe Taper ) somtimes called 1/8 GAS is the thread you want as it will lock in as its tapered thread form locks tighter the further its screwed in. You can also come across BSPP and BSPF that are British Standard Pipe Parrallel thread and incorperates a Dowty seal ( metal outer ring with rubber inner sealing ring) common in hydraulic systems. The 1/8 BSPT hose tail with some teflon thread sealing paste it will seal purrrrrrrrrrfectly.
