got a noise coming from under the rocket cover hovering over cylinder 2/3 been told could be crap builing up in the head or just lack of oil what you blokes reacon??

What engine? Should be easy enough to remove the rocker cover and run the engine with it off for a tic. Probably wont make too much of a mess! Try a cardboard tube to listen for the noise. Then see if there is excessive lifter gap or any shit in there.
