Need help PLz Urgent... My Bundera is leaking Diff Oil
My Bundera has been sold, so any help much appreciated.
I went to have a look under the back of the bundy today, only to discover a lovely lil puddle of oil on the inside of the alloy rim. It is dripping from the drum brakes down on to the inner side of the tyre.
I think my Oil Seal on the axel is cactus.
Would this be the case?
If so where would I get the seals from?
Would anyone have the part number?
I have found out there are three seals.
Inner Seal, O Ring and Outer Seal.
Should I replace all three or just the Inner Seal?
How hard is it to replace? Or roughly how much would it cost to get fixed? and fill the diff with oil again.
The seal is leaking on the drivers side rear diff.
My car is the 22r R70.
Much Much Appreciated.
Cheers. Doddyz

I know this may not help much...but here goes.
I think there is only 1 seal and if its the same (or close enough) to a HJ60 it should be easy enough to change.
You should be able to get the seal from any parts supplier, just whether they have it in stock would be the thing. So I would be heading to a larger parts supplier, might have more luck having one in stock.

The bearing kit is by Maxi Trac. The code is AK1 rr hilux 4wd - 5/98 cost me $56
Hope its the right one.
Is anyone available to help me fit it today in Melbourne in South Eastern Suburbs. I will give you $50 for your time.
Any help much appreciated.

Mate you will need a press to get the bearings on and off to minimise your chances of damaging the axel. but you can do it without one it just takes longer. Apart from that its an easy job. I had to do them on a mates truck on the way down to Tuff truck last year in the motel car park
Before All toys there was the Landcruiser
