Rangie LPG installers

i have searched but not found anything, im looking at a 1989 rangie vouge with a 3.5l v8 and i want to convert it to gas would prefer not to do it myself somethings i think its worth paying for peace of mind. what are some good places in victoria i can get quotes from. i would prefer the lpg to be mounted under the car so i can use the space in the boot more efficently or would this cost a lot more than an incar tank

i recently looked to convert my 88 rangie and heard gas connections (i think0 in seaford was good. the general price for in the boot seems to be 2400 and 3300 under the car. This was after calling lots of people. Ended up going to someone in mornington and doing half the stuff myself, now i gotta go to him to do the rest. Guy in mornigton seems alright and did a good job on a mates car

If you can mount the hardware you will save half the cost of the install, i have used 2nd hand parts in the last 2 rangies i have done and never had a problem.

I have an '89 Rangie that i had converted last year by Smithy's in Bayswater. The boss Terry is the best mechanic i have ever come accross. He really knows his cars and his Rangies. I paid $2200 for a tank in the back. Go for it and start saving $$$

And if you talk to him real sweet $$$ he can also do a conversion incorporating a chassis modification to enable the fitment of two tanks east west instead of north south to give, from memory, 200 ltrs of usuable gas capacity.
