how dose the 22r spin 33i tyres dose anyone still run these in there cars or is it best to do a engine conversion.

i can;t spin 33X12.5's unless the road is wet or gravel, with 4.56 diffs.

but the engine is tired, and its just got sent to the rebuilders, i'll let you know in 2 weeks when its has a new cam and bored a lil

Port the head new or reground cam extractors and a 2 1/2 exhaust.
The last 22R i had would spin 33's on the bitumen and go to 6500revs in 2nd H4 in the sand it was a good one everyone else seems to have a dud?
The bottom end is full floating so its just a matter of gettin them to breath which is not that hard..

yeah they reckon the cams are very restrictive to pass polution laws. A cam maybe cheaper from the states. I just pu ton a efi manifold and went straight lpg. Im yet to retun eit but it seems a more torqier down low

My mates lux with 22r will spin 33's on tar with 5.12 diffs if he starts in the dirt first

Yeah i got 33's with a 22r and she'll spin no worries on the bitumen. Have found it a good engine but it drinks petrol like a homeless man with a metho bottle. Any suggestions from ppl on here? Approx 18-20L around town/100k's and 17-18 on highway (these figures are similar running my 31's or my 33's and I dont drive it that hard)

Check your ignition timing this can gain a little power which should help with fuel economy. I used to get 15-16l/100ks on the highway drivin hard around 2800-3000rpm it seemed to hold its own on the hills.

My Fuel economy is very similar to yours too about 350km out of a 66L tank. Very thirsty - looking at a 1uzfe conversion about as thirsty but heaps more power etc.....

When I owned my bundy I put some extractors on it and an airfilter it helped with the fuel economy and gave it a little extra go, what really helped was buying a wrangler, I get better fuel economy and heaps more power
