how dose the 22r spin 33i tyres dose anyone still run these in there cars or is it best to do a engine conversion.

Port the head new or reground cam extractors and a 2 1/2 exhaust.
The last 22R i had would spin 33's on the bitumen and go to 6500revs in 2nd H4 in the sand it was a good one everyone else seems to have a dud?
The bottom end is full floating so its just a matter of gettin them to breath which is not that hard..

Yeah i got 33's with a 22r and she'll spin no worries on the bitumen. Have found it a good engine but it drinks petrol like a homeless man with a metho bottle. Any suggestions from ppl on here? Approx 18-20L around town/100k's and 17-18 on highway (these figures are similar running my 31's or my 33's and I dont drive it that hard)
1990 2.4L Petrol 22R Hilux,2 inch suspension lift,33inch muddies,front and rear bars,spotties, uhf.
My Fuel economy is very similar to yours too about 350km out of a 66L tank. Very thirsty - looking at a 1uzfe conversion about as thirsty but heaps more power etc.....
