Swivel Hub Bearings - shims?

Time to change my bearings. but the shim thing worries me about gettin it right.

Any tips or hints to doing it to get shims right, do you need many different shims?? HELP!

Or just pay to get it done? need it done for next weekends night run :(

I was concerned about this too but new bearings went in with shims in the same place and no messing.

just make sure you end up with the same thickness stack top/bottom. otherwise the inner axle seal doesn't work for very long.
check preload with fish scales off wheel studs. about 5kg from memory..

Do you need a press for the bearings to remove them?

I have never used a press when doing my swivel hubs. It's dead easy.
