New Pajero owner
I am a new member of the Pajero fraternity, 1 week to be exact, and am now the proud owner of a 1995 LWB 2800TDI exceed with auto trans. I will post a couple of pics when I can get my digicam off my daughter As it is a grey import I have no info on the vehicle except what I have found on this and other websites. I have 2 questions. First does this vehicle have ABS brakes and second does it have a limited slip diff. It has a centre diff lock but I cannot find any switch for rear diff lock, and a look underneath tells me there is no locker. Any other info will be greatly appreciated.
Gday. I have a 1996 GLX 2.8 TDi. Mine does not have ABS, but does have a rear LSD. Have you had a look at the Tech Info in this forum? Another good site for info is the VIC Mitsubishi Club website. It is http://www.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/PajeroForum.htm
Should have, but doesn't mean it will. Mine doesn't.cookie monster wrote:if its got a lsd it should have a sticker on the rear diff that states 'lsd oil only'

Where did your "grey import" come from? If you can work out it's home market, that may help identify what it's likely to have.
Check the door pillar inside the driver's door. Does it have an orange sticker warning about LSD oil?
Test for it: jack up BOTH rear wheels, ensure the trans is in neutral, and turn one wheel. If the other moves in the same direction, you probably have LSD - if not, you probably don't.
For ABS, check under the bonnet, near the firewall on the RHS (viewed from the driver's seat - are you LHD or RHD?) The ABS module looks like a collection of metal cylinders, with a few metal brake lines connected.
Cheers,
Scott
