Specs are;
1989 3.5EFI V8 4dr (deeeer)
rebuilt ZF auto and LT230 conversion out of 97 model discovery.
2" spring lift
33" Maxxis buckshott mudders
Long range tank
custom 10mm plate sliders
and thats about it
engine was supossedly rebuilt recently (year or two ago) but i dont think its running very good at all.... its a bloody slug... got sum slap in the tcase too.
My other 3.5 was noticably quicker with the 37" creepys.... Gonna be wackin my 2.5" exhaust (that has been taken off the other POS) onto this thing and see if it makes a diference.

no its still got the whole front end of the body and all four doors, it still resembles a rangie...Loanrangie wrote:Havent you done that already to the white mangie ?AnthonyP wrote:i am gonna remove the whole body and make my own version of a bushrangieLoanrangie wrote:So Anthony, how do you plan to stuff this one up ?
No honestly this one is gonna be the TOW vehicle, so i not gonna trash it, already replaced the lights in the arse end, cleaned it all up, doin comp test and changing all filters. Spark plugs bein replaced this arvo...
Gota check out the TPS and AFM as its not running right and thats where i think the problem may lie (swap em over between each rangie)....
Ill try to baby this one as much as possible
Maybe I could post a couple of new pics of my rangie?
Traditional "after xmas wheeling day" for our club, here on the ice of the sea:
A week ago, a few colleagues from the office trying something new, I was in the passenger seat and just gave some advice; turn left/right, pedal to the floor, easy now, and so on. Check the new front lights as well:
Last October in an orienteering competition in southern Finland:
Backed to the control point using a fellow competitior winch (still no rear winch...), picked it and then winched back using our own winch, too. Almost clear from that:
Engine bay was full of swamp after that, makes one think of getting rid of the std fan. Raised intake would have been necessary in couple of other control points (which we did not take, it was too deep).
Became 2nd (out of 39 in our class), clearly the best team with street legal vehicle.

PS. cutting the tires adds a lot of grip on snow/ice:

Disco
Hi here is a couple of picks of my 96 disco, all stock but you have to start somewher. Im awaiting the release of snake racing 4inch lift suspension kit. They have spent quite a bit of time developing it so it should be a good thing.
Intensions are spring lift, gaurd chop, 34-35" tyres, and some ARB diff locks with maxi axels.

Re: Disco
I have heard a bit about this and seen a few threads about. Have you got any idea of release dates or kit contents?MONGREL wrote:Hi here is a couple of picks of my 96 disco, all stock but you have to start somewher.
