When i spoke to Craig earlier in the week he was expecting a few others but im not sure who.

Should be interesting running these courses in a moon buggy with 46" Claws. Im going to have to wear elbow pads so i can turn :D
At least if you roll the tyres should still be able to touch the ground

I wish i could go stupid exams

as far as i know it is standard entry fees to the park to drive around and wach the event - not sure what that is but around the $30/24 hours.

To compete in the event was somewhere around $150, but you will also be up for park fees so about $210 all up.

Well im home with my tail between my legs  I broke the rear pinion on the first obstical which then took out a Uni joint in the rear shaft. I had no spares and no tools as i wasnt planning on driving too hard. Im pretty sure the pinion bearing failed driving from the camp site to the comp site. Couldnt realy tell you who looked like winning. There were 26 vehicles competeing with 6 in Outlaw class.

Oh yeah and Pos's old hilux had a nice full roll and landed back on its wheels

bit of bad luck there, i was hoping you would of at least got half way round to see what it was like with the tractor tyres.
time for some 404's under the buggy.
how did you fiy it on the trailer ?

It hung over both sides about 4" :D

It wasnt too bad with the 46's it still drove the same but as i left the camp ground it got a huge squeal up from the rear and i never clicked to what it was untill the pinion let go. With the 60 series diffs upside down they just dont get enough oil to the small pinion bearing. Im going to try and work out a way to keep them oiled up.

can you drill and tap a hole near the bearing and use a old fuel pump to pump oil to it

Yeah that was a thought but then its more shit to get in the way on the axles. Am going to look and see if i can make some kind of oil splasher on the crown wheel to flick oil up towards the pinion.
