Shocks for 94 Triton Dual Cab Ute

Post by -ZukChiK- »

Hey Mitsubishi guys :D

I'm doing some research for my dad who is needing to replace the shocks in his Triton. I owned it for a few years beforehand & only replaced the bushes when I had it, its a bit of a boat. I'm getting OMEs for my zook as I know they are good, but what are your opinions for a 94 Triton dualcab? The springs are still original & I have no idea whats involved with the front strut set up. He's not into lift or anything, just a better ride (or restoring original ride) He uses the ute for carting around heavy loads of crap too, so any suggestions?? Was also considering Tough Dogs... Any thoughts on these? Your help = much appreciated :)

Cheers,

Jo

Yep the Tough Dogs are pretty good and are a bigger diameter than the OME's.
Rancho's are no good for serious load carrying.
Koni's are ok as well and can take a pounding.
There is really no one particular brand of shock that stands out above all others for Mitsi's as all depends on what you want.
But for load carrying - Tough Dogs, Koni's, Bilsteins are all pretty good.
I just luv my "clacker Jabber"

Cheers for that Bitsa, I got a price on the Tough Dog Nitro's today and it'll cost $450 for the 4... Normally $125ea, so $50 off is cool. They should do the job fine, hopefully! :)

Thanks again!.... (back to the Zook forum I go, LOL)
