12HT oil pressure

Post by lc61vx »

Hi,

I've got a Sahara VX 89 with 12HT. Just a question about oil pressure. There is an oil pressure gauge but there is no oil pressure light. Is there an aftermarket gauge/warning light I can get to replace the factory one? I'm guessing that oil pressure is important and I really cannot be looking at the gauge every second... Need a warning light to quickly alert me ... is this possible?

Thanks!

If the pressure drops to a dangerous level the engine will cut out automatically. This is the case with a 2H anyway.

this is true for the 12HT aswell, if the pressure drops below a threshhold for more than 5 seconds the engine will stop.
