Pajero illuminated switches

Post by Ian Sharpe »

Hi guys,

has anyone ever sourced a replacement for the very small ligh that Mitsu use in their switches.

You have to pull the switch appart to get at it.

I think I may have asked at my dealer once , who said they are not available separately, have to buy the whole switch, like $70 a pop!!

I have exhausted all my spares that I got in switches from my local wrecker.

cheers

Ian,

You may have to try a specialist electronics supply mob like JCAR, Altronics or RS Components,

RS in particular should be able to help you. You will need it's dimentions, voltage and wattage if possible

I you have any huge dramas, let me know the details as above and I'll try my suppliers for you

Ado,

thanks, yeah I'll probably try Repco or jaycar.

They are a very small light in size with the end of the globe seated into a rubber section , allowing it to slip over the 2 pins that supply power to it.

If I can find a replacement for it, I doubt that it would include the rubber seat, so may have to just solder a globe onto the pins.

I replaced some of mine with ones from dicksmith catalogue number P8140. The pig tail leads just feed throught the rubber block hard to explain but when you look closely you will understand.
