XRCC News and Pics

Post by antt »

Well, just got back from day one of the xrcc at lmp. was a great day with 10 rigs competing over two difficult courses.

There was plenty of carnage with a patrol ute tipping over (stage one), and POS tipping his hilux over on the second stage. Sam from Overkill broke a front right cv and a back right axle only metres into the first stage. luckily he got one up from brisbane and was able to compete in the second stage. dave with the bobbed 4runner did some carnage to his steering on the second stage as well.

the patrol that rolled on the first stage buggered his tailshaft on the second stage too  . and a soft top hilux that was competing seperated his rear tailshaft on the first stage. mick from this board had trouble with his front shaft on his sierra on the first stage.

ummmmm, i'll try and think of what else happened while i resize the pics and post em.

oh yeah, i don't know the exact scores, but sam in the mogrover seemed to be well ahead of everyone else, he was making the stages look easy :D

some of the comments from people in the crowd were more entertaining than the crawling itself, here's just a few of what i heard today

'what is that thing? it looks like some sort of army truck'

'its not a land rover, its a nissan'

those were about the mogrover

'that things a v8!'

talking about POS hilux

'that must be a special model, look how short it is'

talking about daves bobbed runner

i could be waaay off, but by my dodgy score keeping he would have been coming second to sam this arvo, dunno how the broken cv will affect him
