Hi,

Just got hold of a 3L 94 Pajero Wagon a couple of weeks back and, it being the first 4WD we've owned it's been fun so far. We took a trip up to the Wattagans on Sunday and while it wasn't much of a test for him, it was a good start!

Everything seems really straight with the car, the previous owner didn't scrimp on anything and never took it off-road. The only thing that doesn't seem 100% is when starting from cold it needs 30s or so of high idle else it just runs lumpy and won't pull, once warm it's fine.

Dropped it in for it's 200k service today - expecting a bill around $1k, does that seem about right?

From what I gather the 200k service is the biggest one and will include

Timing Belt
Oil service
Plugs
Filters etc

Anything else I should get done? Anything to watch for?

TIA,

Lou

Just got it back and all was OK except the injectors which need a clean-up. Explains the rough idle from cold and the apparent lack of power sometimes.

Taking him back tomorrow to finish the job off.

Timing belt done but I didn't think to ask to change the pump. The guy didn't seem to think it was a biggie so should be OK...

Hey I possibly saw you at Wattagans on Sunday, on Forest Rd. I was on a bike with a mate and parents were following in my white NH Pajero (they act as caterers, spare sparts and ambulance). You were just off the side of the road.

I didn't take note of the number plate but the one I saw was definitely that colour with the roof racks and bullbar.

Was closer to the Wyong end than 'The Letter A' end.

My first spot, and it was 'off road', kind of ;)

We stopped at the Stony Ridge picnic area where we saw this:

Bruce the Pajero  will also be available for viewing this weekend at Stockton Sands and/or Myall!

Look forward to maybe meeting some OL members on the beach up there.

Take it easy,

Lou

We don't do tracks yet ;)

Just getting used to driving off the beaten track.

Enjoyed the beach driving this weekend at Stockton even if we did have a few, 'Feck, we're bogged down' moments!
