Electrical Plugs in engine bay

there is about 4 connections uder the bonnet some for the carby and one for 4wd switch etc does anybody have a diagram or a pick of motor etc 1.3 standard engine high beam light comes on when brakes applied etc engine picks up idle when headlights go on need a pic i think does anybody have that ?

i assume you are talking about the 4 in the middle of the firwall?

if so 2 of them are top over top, one is reverse (red and yellow wire)

and neutral switch.

they will only plug in 1 way for three of them but the fourth can be matched by the colour of the wire.

There is a solenoid on the block near the front, and one under the carby that raises the idle when your lights are on. it has the hose that runs to the valve on the side of the carby itself. i found when my idle went maniac with the lights on, cleaning these solenoid connections(i just used carby cleaner), would help the problem. But i find it does come back though, regardless of how well you clean it.
