benefits of 3/4 arse end?

i am looking at getting rid of my lwb mk patrol, to get a swb patrol with a v8, screwy has inspired me :) what benefits does a 3/4 arse end have

it can add droop, it effectively lengthens the spring giving a softer spring rate.

I find on my Zuk that it has softened the ride. I am still SPUA so don't have any axle wrap issues or problems with the spring moving around. On a SPOA car with a V8 you may, actually you will, need to sort ann effective track bar out. Also some people have experienced the 3/4 unloading on steep downhills but I havven't had any dramas with it
