are you in a club that orginises that kind of event?
I have a mate that is interested in building a buggy and doing that so if u PM with some details

i'm not in a club, a mate and his old man are. they used to be in SEQORRA and are now in the gympie club i think.

get a cams manual if you are looking at building one, they have everthing from tube size, to engine configurations in them. not cheap though 100+ bucks iirc
