My understanding is that the logan night runs are covered by insurance so long as you are an official or a competitor and signed on. Because the venue is a public 4x4 park all other vehicles , including spectators , should sign into the park and pay a small fee ($10) which is a fraction of the day rate and will allow you to be in the park until the wee small hours of the morning when the night run is finished. Please come , by all reports so far the run will be huge and worth a look.

Hello all
My name is Rhys
I am the one running this night run, if any body would like to clarify a point them PM me befor to ensure your facts are correct.

1 The meeting place is next to the indepented servo on the MT Lindsay Highway, turn right at the traffic lights and look for the 4wd's

2 Logan 4wd club insurance is not applicable, we do not charge fees to entre the events, so we do not insure them.

Thank you

Rhys

oh god my head hurts
I have just been talking to the clubs insurance officer and my facts were not 100% correct.

The whole story is if we charge for the night run its considerd an event and we need to get an extension on our insurances.
We do not charge for the night run so anybody who signs on the night run sheet is considered a guest of Logan 4wd club and is covered under our insurance policy for personal injury.

I hope i have got this right this time

Question
hi rhys
there are about half a dozen of us from tough tracks club that would like to do the night run .
is the run going to be through the park or is it through other properties as well . the reason i am asking is because we will be camping at the park and alot of our cars do not drive to well on the road to get back out to the start of the run.

Answer
All the 4wding on the night will be done at City View.

Caspa are non street leagel cars allowed at your park?

hows does this work with the 3 runs and you need to be a member as stated by the insurance company? I'm not trying to cause trouble but all insurance companies are untrustworthy criminals.

You do not need to be a memeber to do a night run anymore. As long as we do not charge a fee to do it. So thats why we do not charge and have not charged for a runin well over a year now.

in future rhys a pm is a private message .
if i wanted every one to know what we were up to i would have posted on the public forum.
i said nothing about our cars being illegal it is a case of when you bolt on bigger tyres they dont drive as well on the road and i couldnt see the point in driving back out from the park to the servo when we can meet you in the park.

OK all it was a long hot weekend but Peter has done alsome things and the park looks great.
The night run will be quite long but really good fun and the last check point welll um its called the challenge track for a reasion :)

We will be meeting at the Inderpendent servo at 6:30pm

Please remember
Spectators will be charged $10
Camping will be $5 overnight

A standard 4wd will be able to drive the transport tracks and watch the compeditors on the special stages.

I need a couple of helpers for the stages, any takers?

Rhys Who is WE??? If WE is the Logan Club then i dont doubt you are trying to do the right thing but the majority of people that will attend this night run are not Logan Club Members. Its not like your going to be able to stop people from doing this. As you say the raffel is non compulsory. Im not trying to start shit but trying to point out a problem before you face it on this run. I guarentee im not the only person who was thinking of this.

I actually posted this Hypotheticaly. I will not be attending on the night.

lights

Post by caspa »

I sit corrected , they have turned that set of lights on now. If I am going north I dont usually go that way , I go up Bromelton House Rd and Allan Ck Rd to Gleneagle so I miss that part of town. But you are so correct. Ps look at your previous posts. I think the third one near to the top.

Big thanks to Rhys and all his helpers   for a great night. Also a huge thankyou to Peter for letting us drive around his park. The creek section in CP2 was a lot of fun. The guy that was running CP2 i think his was the 1 taking all the photos, love to see them my car was the white Hilux D/Cab. CP4 had a long steep rocky hill climb with a good view of the city at the top. The rock steps at CP6 were good fun .Have no damage to report. Once again a big thanks to all the organizers.  Will definitely going back to CITY VEIW 4x4 PARK.
